Clash Of Scents: Versace Dylan Turquoise Vs Dylan Blue

Dylan Blue

Main Notes: Granny Smith Apple, Black Currant, Forget Me Not, Peach, Eglantine Rose, White Woods, Patchouli, Musk

Pour Femme Dylan Blue was released in 2017’s fall as a female equivalent to Versace Pour Homme Dylan Blue.

The nose behind this beautiful perfume is Calice Becker, who is involved in multiple renowned fragrances such as J’adore, Killian’s Love Don’t Be Shy, etc.

Dylan Blue is a strong & sensual fragrance that carries fruity, floral, and woody zest. It is not so deep or not so mild. In fact, the freshness of fruits, floral sweetness, and sensuality of woodsy notes has made it a well-balanced fragrance.dylan-blue

The perfumer created an extraordinary aura that is vibrant, confident as well as romantic. Hence, from adult working ladies to college-going girls can wear this perfume beyond doubt.

Dylan Turquoise

Main Notes: Lemon, Orange, Pink Pepper, Guava, Freesia, Cassis, Cedarwood, Musk

Dylan Turquoise is the refreshing flanker of Pour Femme Dylan Blue. It was designed by Sophie Labbé & was brought into the market in 2020.

This fragrance is light, fresh, and playful. It is reminiscent of the young girl who has just taken a shower before going on a trip & looking very excited & buoyant.dylan-turquoise

Apart from the scent, the sky-blue bottle gives an aquatic vibe. Moreover, it seems stunning, just like the smell.

Now, let’s see the performance of Dylan Blue & Dylan Turquoise, then select a winner:

Opening

The opening of Dylan Blue is green and fruity. It elicits a sharp essence of apple & ice infusion of peach, which is pretty attractive.

Sometimes, this aroma seems synthetic and medicinal. But when the green & flowery accord combines with that smell, it feels gorgeous.

Here, you can whiff the floral touch of forget me not & the freshness of black currant.

In a word, Dylan Blue’s starting is fresh, fruity, and floral. I think nature has poured some of its majestic aromas into this splendid perfume.

However, the famous celebrity Bella Hadid also wears this perfume and highlights confidence & femininity through it.

Now, let’s see how Dylan Turquoise smells at first —

This perfume starts with a burst of citrusy and soft spicy flavor. Because the top includes lemon, mandarin orange & pink pepper.

Along with that, your nose can sniff some aquatic flavors for which the scent becomes more clean.

The opening of Dylan Turquoise reminds me of the strong & confident ladies who are enjoying the mouthwatering orange juice & the gentle breeze, sitting on the island. They are having a cheerful moment and bursting into laughter out of joy.

Now, I guess you can imagine how energetic & lively the opening aura is!

Both of the fragrances are stunning at the outset. Hence, there is no clear winner!

Projection & Longevity

After immense testing of the fragrances, I have perceived that Dylan Blue projects to a higher level than Dylan Turquoise.

For the first 4 hours, it radiates within 3 feet. After that, its projection starts to decrease. And 7 hours later, it doesn’t project anymore; only the dry-down scent is left on my skin.

When it comes to Turquoise, the projection is decent. It leaves an arm-length perfume trail for the first 2-5 hours; after that, it becomes weak.

The longevity of these perfumes is moderate. On my wrist, each of them last for a maximum of 6 hours.

In the case of longevity, it’s a tie between Dylan Blue & Turquoise. But Dylan Blue has the upper hand in projection.

Compliment Factor

Good comments come with the mesmerizing aroma of a fragrance. Besides, a beautiful fragrance, along with compliments, can uplift the wearer’s mood.

It never happens that I go outside wearing Dylan Blue but come back with zero compliments. People near me often ask which marvelous perfume I’ve applied to my skin. And most of them are attracted by the rosy-peachy flavor.

Dylan Turquoise contains more fruity extracts than floral tones. Hence, the number of compliments is somewhat lower.

The presence of jasmine & freesia is very delicate in this fragrance.

Furthermore, the prominent flavor of guava and lemon has made this a bit more fruity and girly. That’s why relatively fewer compliments emerge from this perfume.

However, Bella Hadid and Hailey Bieber played a significant role in this perfume’s advertising campaigns.

It’s clear that Dylan Blue brings more flattering words, and so it is the winner.

Versatility

In terms of versatility, Dylan Blue is the same as Dylan Turquoise. Because they are ideal for summer and spring days.

Any of these can be your daily wear or go-to scent for outdoor activities on hot summer days. If you wanna go cycling or hiking in spring, these scents are pretty ideal for those events.

There is no overpowering smell; in fact, a relaxed vibe is present in those fragrances.

Therefore, these Versace Dylan perfumes are perfect for lunch dates, leisure activities, office, and any casual meetups. They are mass-pleasing but not the most attractive ones that will highlight you in the crowd.

So, none of these are completely versatile. The best time to wear these fragrances is during the daytime of spring & summer.

Value For Money

Dylan Blue Pour Femme comes in an EDP concentration, and it is available in two sizes. The 50 ml sells for $96, and the 100 ml for $125.

Contrarily, Turquoise EDT has three different categories: 30 ml, 50 ml, and 100 ml. Their price range is $68, $88, and $110, respectively.

Can you guess why Turquoise is relatively cheaper?

Well, it is because of the lower perfume oil concentration in Eau De Toilette. It contains 5-15% of perfume oil, whereas the Dylan Blue includes 10-20% oil with a stronger blend.

Considering the quality and performance, Versace Dylan Blue & Turquoise are worth the money. Both of them have an equal hand in this context.

Overall Scent

Well, I will differentiate the smells of Dylan Blue into three remarkable categories. First of all, it conveys the flavors of luscious fruits with a green herbaceous undertone. It’s like apples and peaches are mingled with green herbs.

Next, the potent essence of rose and peach reaches the olfactory sense. Once in a while, jasmine tickles the nose with its balsamic touch.

This fantastic fruity-floral combination is full of love & romance. Hence it is considered one of the best smelling Versace perfumes for women.

The woody musky dry-down gently awakens sensuality. In this phase, Dylan Blue feels like the corporate lady has returned home after a busy schedule, and now she is yearning for a hug & cuddle from her beloved husband.

On the other hand, Versace Dylan Turquoise smells juicy, citrusy, aquatic & tropical at first sniff.

It plays very lively from the start to the end. It is so clean & jolly, and the infused twist quickly refreshes the mood.

The core represents a wonderful bonding of guava, freesia & freshly picked lemon. It is the first perfume from which I could smell the scent of guava for the first time.

Dylan Turquoise ends with a subtle tone of sweet, smoky, woody & musky aroma. This phase is not so alluring; rather, it is simply pleasant and calming.

In my humble opinion, Dylan Blue is the winner because it includes elegance, sensuality, and simplicity. Whereas Dylan Turquoise is more on the youthful side.

Final Verdict

So far, I have discussed the accords, price, how long the perfumes stay on the skin, and the essential things regarding Dylan Blue & Dylan Turquoise.

I guess you have already decided which one you will add to your collection.

But if you’re still perplexed about making the right decision, let me guide you.

Actually, both fragrances belong to the fruity-floral theme. But if you’re looking for a relatively deep, strong, and sensuous EDP, go for Dylan Blue. It has a carefree and elegant feminine vibe.

Dylan Turquoise also smells good. It is garnished with a clean, floral, playful, and aromatic aura. If you prefer EDT with a buoyant attitude, just opt for this cheerful scent.
