Curve for Men is one of the best-selling colognes of all time. When discussing the top classic colognes for men, you must have Curve on the list.
Curve is not a complicated cologne; rather, it is famous for its simplicity. The notes are well-blended, so the smell is loved by all.
When a cologne becomes as popular as Curve, many cologne houses try to make dupes of that cologne.
After trying many clones, I have selected some of the best dupes of Curve. I will discuss them with proper reasoning for why they are great alternatives to Curve.
Which Colognes Smell Similar To Curve For Men?
Curve is an old-school cologne released in 1996 by Liz Claiborne, and the nose behind it was Jean Claude Delville.
The top notes of Curve are Pineapple, Lavender, Lemon, Juniper Berries and Neroli.
If you have not smelled Curve yet, the moment you do, it will remind you of your father or uncle because it was very trendy for that generation.
The start of Curve is refreshing and energizing for the involvement of lemon and pineapple. You will receive a green touch from the cologne.
But the spicy notes are quick to enter in the citrusy-like opening. They do not take the main attention from you, but you will definitely know their presence. There is also a floral touch from the neroli in the beginning.
After the first blast, lavender becomes heavy in the scent. As you know, the essential oil of lavender makes you relax and calm, and so does this cologne.
But this light, breezy scent is combined with the sweet pineapple and lemon, which makes the cologne unique and mesmerizing. The citrus part never moves away from the center of attraction.
As adding cactus were a popular ask by the cologne houses, most of the famous colognes of the earlier times have them. Curve is no different. Maybe that is why it got the reach it deserves.

The dry down of Curve is very woodsy and muscular. It has three different kinds of wood as its base notes, but mahogany gives the most robust support to the woody end. Sandalwood and cedar are also part of it.
In conclusion, Curve is a fresh citrusy cologne with a spicy touch and a solid woody ending with musk.
Even though Curve has a potent start, it cannot hold itself together when it comes to projection. It becomes a mild projector with time.
Its longevity could be better as well. It works for 5 to 6 hours, and then you have to reapply the cologne.
However, the cologne works excellently according to its price value, and not all colognes need to last forever.
The citrusy cologne is perfect for summer and spring. It is a versatile cologne, as you can wear it at work or on a date. Any man can pull it off and receive compliments.
So, here are the best colognes that smell like Curve for Men:
Liz Claiborne Claiborne Sport
Top notes are Tomato Leaf and Lavender;
Middle notes are Ginger, Cardamom, Cyclamen, Sage, Woodsy Notes and Coriander;
Base notes are Musk, Cedar and Amber.
Jean Claude Delville worked with Liz Clairborne to create Claiborne Sport in 1997.
Claiborne Sport starts with tomato leaf. This adds a green and grassy touch to the cologne. The opening can remind you of Curve for the green vibe of the cologne, even if two very different notes created it.
If you think the green tone of tomato leaf cannot make the cologne similar to Curve, the spicy accords mixed with it definitely can.
Notes like ginger, cardamom, and sage create a beautiful spicy aroma that stays in the background by being prominent enough to get noticed, just like Curve.
Claiborne Sport also has a woody and musky ending. Even though the pattern of the notes of Claiborne Sport makes it a perfect alternative to Curve, there are tones in the cologne that make it unique.
It creates its own identity by giving the cologne more of a sporty vibe, as the name suggests. You will be more energized to go out and do your errands.
The price range of Claiborne Sport makes it easy for you to blind-buy it. Claiborne Sport’s performance is moderate with moderate longevity, lasting 6 to 7 hours.
But it is more than adequate with the money it is offering.

Why should you wear it?

Liz Claiborne Curve Sport
Top notes are Red Apple, Rosemary and Bergamot;
Middle notes are Lavender, Cardamom and Clary Sage;
Base notes are Sandalwood, Moss, Vetiver and Tobacco.
After Curve became one of the most popular colognes for men, Liz Claiborne released many flankers of it. And cologne that has the most resemblance of them all to Curve is Curve Sport.
Curve Sport’s fruity note is red apple rather than pineapple. That is the unique tone you will get from the beginning. The bergamot makes the citrusy game of the cologne strong. Therefore, the opening contains sweet and citrusy accords.
There are cardamom and clary sage to back up the fresh and sweet aroma with some spices. This makes a perfect addition to the cologne.
The middle part of the cologne has lavender. Similar to Curve, lavender brings a calming and relaxing tone. Yet, the citrus part is more prominent.
Later, the dry-down contains wood, but tobacco wraps it up. The cologne becomes very muscular at the end as the tobacco is solid and classy.
You will feel like you are wearing a modern version of Curve while wearing Curve Sport, as the cologne house has played the notes like the present time.
The presence of tobacco makes the cologne projects better than Curve. However, the longevity has mostly stayed the same. It has a lasting power of 6 to 7 hours.

Abercrombie & Fitch Fierce
Top notes are Fir, Lemon, Orange, Petitgrain, Cardamom and Sea Notes;
Middle notes are Rosemary, Lily-of-the-Valley, Jasmine, Rose and Sage;
Base notes are Musk, Vetiver, Oakmoss, Brazilian Rosewood and Sandalwood.
Christophe Laudamiel and Bruno Jovanovic founded Fierce in 2002. It’s a must-have for every youth teenager you have ever met.
The predominant citrus notes at the top are lemon and orange, with several dry woodsy characteristics. Unlike Curve, the woody aspects of the cologne come forward at the very opening. This is what gives Fierce its character.
Citrus notes give it a fresh feel, but the rest of the composition tempers them, so it does not smell like juicy cologne.
In the following stage, the citrus blends well with some herbal spices, including sage. With time the spicy accords become stronger as pepper comes and joins the party.
The tremendous dry down comes with vetiver, oak moss, musk, and fir.
Although the top note of lemon and some herbal spices remain, the cologne is mostly green, dry, and fresh. It is endearing, and many people recall seeing it at the mall in the early 2000s.
Fierce serves you with 7 to 8 hours of longevity and has a strong presence when you enter a room.
Unfortunately, Fierce was formerly a gigantic cologne. Fierce’s quality has deteriorated, and it no longer appears to have the same impact.

Montblanc Legend
Top notes are Lavender, Pineapple, Bergamot and Lemon Verbena;
Middle notes are Red Apple, Dried Fruits, oak moss, Geranium, Coumarin and Rose;
Base notes are Tonka Bean and Sandalwood.
Legend For Men, released in 2011, was the first in the Legend series. The fruity and floral smells will calm and appeal to you.
Montblanc Legend is a lovely scent with a fruity aroma. This cologne starts with a pleasant, fresh aroma. Some citrus and fruity tones are evident.
These emit a lovely, fresh, yet fruity aroma. It smells like freshly cut pineapple with bergamot juice and lavender and lemon verbena flowers mingled together. The opening is perfectly similar to Curve.
After a while, you will detect a delicate apple cologne and dried fruit notes in the background, along with geranium and oakmoss. In the middle, it smells even more fruity.
The dry-down has tonka beans and sandalwood, which provides little but does not give much but enhances the already present aroma. This scent finishes with a fruit and flower aroma.
Both longevity and projection levels are moderate. Montblanc Legend lasted about 5 hours on my skin.
