It is the robust, darker, and alluring version of Sauvage EDT. Whenever you go outside wearing this cologne, you’re guaranteed to grab attention and stare.
In the beginning, it is extremely loud & manly. But when it dries down, it represents a fully sensual and mature man who is passionate about making love.
Now it’s time to compare these two Dior fragrances. Because both of them are of great quality and highly appreciated. But we have to identify which one is the best performer.

These elements uncover a burst of spicy zest at first. This kind of smell simply reminds me of the aggressive man who leaves no stone unturned to achieve his goal.
Besides, there is a subtle touch of grapefruit which wholeheartedly tries to add a juicy & citrusy vibe. But due to the heavy gesture of spices, it can’t appear in a remarkable way.
The opening of Sauvage holds a pleasant blending of citruses and spices. Whereas, Elixir is all about extreme spices. So, Sauvage is the winner in this phase.

Sauvage has a fantastic projection for the first 3 hours; later, it projects moderately. The bright perfume trail radiates within 6 feet and is able to fill the room.
The blue cologne lasts for a long time. On my skin, it stays for 8-12 hours and continuously spreads impressive auras.
However, Elixir also performs the job of good projection and longevity in a great way. It has almost 24 hours of longevity with insane projection.
In my opinion, this appealing fragrance deserves a 10 out of 10 rating for its heavy projection & extraordinary staying power.
So, Elixir is far superior when it’s about better projection and longevity.

Sauvage is one of my most compliments getting colognes ever. There was a time when stepping outside wearing this fragrance and returning without a single compliment was absolutely impossible.
This mass-appealing cologne was used to bring tons of positive comments. Nowadays, Sauvage has become widely popular, and so many people consider it a basic scent.
Therefore, if anyone is passing by wearing Sauvage, people take it as usual. Because they are already familiar with the scent, and so there’s no need to give compliments & ask for the fragrance name.
But if you appear adjacent to someone who is unaware of Savauge’s mesmerizing fragrance, he/she will surely convey compliments to you.
Contrarily, it has not been a long time since the head-turner Elixir stepped into the fragrance industry.

On the other hand, the dense, woody, and warm smell of Sauvage Elixir is suitable for colder days. It glows up more in the crowd of winter evenings.
Regardless of the season, both of these best smelling Dior colognes are suitable for any kind of occasion and outfit.

I really do enjoy the smell of Dior Sauvage, and it is one of my favorites since its release.
Its unparalleled fresh vibe cheers the mood and leaves a youthful charm in the air. The core of Sauvage is spicy, lavendary, and a little smoky. Without being overwhelming, it is sophisticated and very pleasant.
The ending elicits a woody, musky, and ambery-type essence. It is a well-balanced romantic aura without having excessive seductive nuances.
On the contrary, Elixir smells woody, aromatic, warm spicy, and powdery. It behaves boldly from the very beginning. The extract of cinnamon and cardamom not only adds spiciness but also includes sensuality.
Eventually, you can precisely smell lavender, licorice, amber, and sandalwood.
This gorgeous masterpiece is a perfect blend of high-quality and seductive notes. It seems dense, sweet, and very cozy to me, which is only suited for winter times.
Elixir is more potent with intense aromatic concentration. Whereas, Sauvage EDT is a decent pick that one can use in any circumstance. So I lean towards Dior Sauvage in overall scent.
