What’s similar to Green Irish Tweed?
The house of Creed is famous for creating beautiful original fragrances, and Creed Green Irish Tweed is no exception.
In 1985, Legendary perfumer Olivier Creed introduced the world to Green Irish Tweed.
It is well-known for its fresh but mostly green-smelling scent. This cologne gives off a vibe of walking in a large grass field or a forest near an Irish coast. Overall, Creed GIT has a refreshingly clean, green, and masculine scent.
The top notes of GIT are lemon verbena and peppermint. You’ll get a beautiful violet leaf note in the middle. And the base notes are iris, sandalwood, and ambergris.
Creed Green Irish Tweed starts with a fresh minty scent. The fresh opening quickly turns into an earthy green scent with some woody vibe. This blend creates the overall fresh and green scent profile of Creed Green Irish Tweed.
In a word, this is a versatile and fantastic-smelling fragrance. However, the price is relatively high. Your best chance to smell like Creed Green Irish Tweed without spending an arm and a leg is to find a clone or alternative fragrance.
So, here are the best fragrances that smell like Creed Green Irish Tweed:
Armaf Tres Nuit Pour Homme
Middle notes: lavender, violet, and spicy notes.
Base notes: ambergris and sandalwood.
Armaf has successfully made top-tier clones of iconic creed fragrances, and Tres Nuit is no different. The smell is almost identical, But the price is a lot less.
Like, you could buy 15 Armaf tres Nuit colognes with a single Creed bottle’s price. Think about that!
Creed GIT is famous for its fresh green opening. And Armaf managed to mimic it perfectly.
Guess what they did!
Yes, Armaf has used the same notes as GIT in the opening. Lemon verbena and Irish will immediately remind you of the green countryside and earthy grass vibe of Creed Green Irish Tweed.
Moreover, the additional lemon note makes the opening fresher and more pleasing. In drydown, armaf tried to get the vibe of Creed Green Irish Tweed with violet.
But I mainly got lavender here which is lovely. You’ll also get a warm spicy scent that adds a layer of depth to the otherwise floral middle.

Finally, the ambergris rounds up the whole scent with sandalwood to create a rich masculine cologne. The same notes are found in Creed Green Irish Tweed’s base, so you can imagine how they smell exactly alike.
If you’re still on the fence, Don’t! The longevity was excellent, with 8 hours of fantastic projection.
Look, this is a solid alternative to Creed Green Irish Tweed that demands to be in your collection. Also, the triangular dark blue colored bottle is sleek and modern. I loved the design and the scent of Armaf tres Nuit so much, and I’d highly recommend it to those looking for a fantastic fragrance that is similar to Creed Green Irish Tweed.
Tres Nuit is like a modern version of Creed Green Irish Tweed. So while the original was more intended for mature gentlemen, tres nuit has the added advantage of attracting the millennials. It’s safe to say that you’ll get lots of compliments after wearing this cologne.

Davidoff Cool Water
Middle notes: jasmine, oakmoss, geranium, and sandalwood.
Base notes: amber, musk, sandalwood, and cedar.
Perhaps the most popular alternative of GIT, this cologne is the best deal you can get for a Creed Green Irish Tweed clone.
Even if you’re not familiar with fragrances, I’m sure you’ve smelled Davidoff’s cool water on other people before; you just didn’t know it. The fresh aquatic and slightly minty scent is incredibly refreshing, and it reminds me of Creed Green Irish Tweed whenever I wear it.
The opening is fresh with a hint of green vibe found in creed. I mainly get coriander, Peppermint, lavender, and some green and aquatic notes.
Honestly, it’s more like a salty ocean breeze than the green forest vibe of GIT, but it’s remarkably similar. Even the blue bottle will remind you of its aquatic nature. As soon as you spray, it’s like a splash of refreshment on the skin.
The fresh vibe continues with floral notes in the heart like jasmine and geranium. The dry down is divine, thanks to a perfect blend of neroli and sandalwood. I think the green and woody vibe here successfully replicates the DNA of Creed Green Irish Tweed.
Finally, the base has the same warm and sensual vibe found in Creed Green Irish Tweed. Amber, oakmoss, musk, and cedar mix to give cologne a rugged masculine edge.
Look, this cologne is not groundbreaking in any way. Simply, it’s Cred GIT for the mass of people. For a fraction of the cost, you’ll get a cologne that ladies will love immensely and get compliments.
If Creed GIT is a little too earthy and green for you, Get Davidoff cool water and thank me later.
Longevity was above average. It lasted up to 6 hours in my skin while projecting strongly for the first 2-3 hours.
Sure it could’ve been better, but for the Insanely cheap price tag, I wouldn’t mind reapplying. It’s the best deal you can get for any cologne that is similar to Creed Green Irish Tweed.

- A unique twist on Creed’s Original cologne.
- Inoffensive and versatile scent.
Bond No 9 Chez Bond
If you’re not sure about cheap Creed Green Irish Tweed alternatives and have some money to spare, this is the perfect fragrance for you. Chez bond by Bond no 9 is a classy alternative to Creed GIT.
It’s the most expensive one out of all the clones here. But after using it, I have to say it has earned the price tag.
Chez bond is more of an inspiration than a dupe. The scent is distinctive and can stand out on its own without being compared to Creed Green Irish Tweed. But at the same time, the overall vibe of this cologne is quite similar.
Before going into the scent review, let me rave about the bottle first. It’s the only one out of all the colognes here that can compete with the luxurious and royal design of the black Creed GIT bottle. It’s so elegant, and the juice inside is just as amazing – pure class in a gorgeous bottle.
Chez bond EDP opens with a strong projection of Green, Musky and fresh Citrus notes. It’s not quite harsh like Creed Green Irish Tweed; instead, you’ll get a brighter and more refreshing green scent.
Here’s a complete guide on Versace Eros Clones
All the essential Creed GIT notes are present in this cologne. You’ll get Fresh citrus and grassy green notes in the opening. Also, there’s violet leaf in the middle, just like GIT.
Additionally, I got a beautiful green tea note in the Drydown. This helps for a soothing and smooth green vibe in the middle, and it perfectly captures the essence of Creed Green Irish Tweed. A sensual woody base ties up the whole thing together.
For the price, I expected a beast mode fragrance, but it was underwhelming. I got up to 8 hours of longevity with moderate projection.
Look, even with a premium price, Chez bond still offers a better value for money than Creed GIT. The scent is highly refreshing and masculine. And the bottle is just a marvel to glance at.
In summary, the advantage of paying a little more for this than other colognes similar to Creed GIT is getting more natural ingredients instead of synthetic ones.
So if you’re looking for a luxurious cologne that will turn the heads of women around you, Chez bond is what you’re looking for.
WHEN TO WEAR:
Since this is a classy and elegant scent, you can confidently wear this at Office parties or Business meetings. It will make you stand out among the other suited Gentlemen.
WHY YOU SHOULD BUY:
- Premium quality juice.
- Fresh and opening.
- It can be layered with perfume oil.
Rasasi Egra for Men
Middle notes: galbanum, Florentine iris, and fir needle.
Base notes: oakmoss, musk, sandalwood, and ambergris.
After sniffing, I was surprised why this hasn’t gained enough attention in the fragrance community as a top clone of greed GIT.
First off, the Black bottle will remind you of Creed Green Irish Tweed. However, this one’s not as classy as the original. But look at the price, and you won’t mind that.
Right from the opening, this juice will remind you of lush green forests. The top notes are juniper berries, grapefruit, and violet leaves. I missed the complexity of lemon verbena here. But the added touch of violet and spruce makes up for that.
Gradually it dries down to a more woody and floral scent. Iris and fir needle play the leading role here to give it the powdery texture of Creed Green Irish Tweed so that they smell alike.

Lastly, oakmoss, musk, sandalwood, and ambergris make the base irresistible.
Someone who isn’t into fragrance will surely take this cologne as Creed Green Irish Tweed. Moreover, given that the two scents are almost the same, the affordable price is tempting for sure.
Longevity was above average. I got around 6-8 hours with moderate projection.
WHEN TO WEAR:
In my opinion, Creed’s fragrance is more nuanced and complex, but you can’t expect the same quality as GIT’s, with this cologne costing 10 times less.
WHY YOU SHOULD BUY :
- Inexpensive Creed GIT clone.
- Excellent underrated fragrance.
- Long-lasting and complement getter
- Strong fruity opening.
Coty Aspen For Men
Middle Notes: Lavender, Vetiver
Base Notes: Oakmoss, Amber
Finally, I present the cheapest (good) cologne that’s similar to Creed Green Irish Tweed in the market to you. Aspen by Coty has managed to impress me with its bottle design and the fresh mossy scent.
” Straight outta green forest and mountains” was the first thought that popped into my head when I first saw the gorgeous Gold and Green colored bottle. It literally represents the Irish countryside, green trees, and earthy forest with the gold leaf emblem on top of the bottle.
I loved this nature-themed design.
Coming to the juice, the cozy forest green vibe continues here too. With fresh mint paired with zesty bergamot and lemon, the freshness is off the charts here. It’s incredibly refreshing and beautiful.
In the dry-down, I felt like I was taking a walk through the Shire, the famous lush green village of the Hobbits from Lord of the Rings. There’s a whole bunch of floral and herb notes here that make the middle heavenly.
Lastly, the base is warm and woody, and it pairs well with the soothing green to make this cologne masculine.
Aspen’s refreshingly cool vibe is capable of lifting up your mood on a bad day.
However, I would’ve liked a bit more performance from this. It disappeared after 3-4 hours.
But, I’d recommend you to see the insanely cheap price tag and forget about the performance. Don’t discard this as another cheapie. Aspen will make you fall in love with nature again.
WHEN TO WEAR:
A tip: Spray on clothes for better projection. Or reapply after it becomes a skin scent.
Also, Aspen can be a great gift for someone who loves Creed GIT because of the stunning bottle. And you won’t even have to spend almost anything. It’s a steal at this price.
WHY YOU SHOULD BUY:
- Fantastic cologne for summer.
- Better and more natural than the cheapest option.
- Compliment getter.
Final Thoughts
There are other colognes in the market too that have the same fresh green vibe of Creed GIT.
But to me, these are the ones that are worth spending money on. All of these “ clean, green, fresh, and masculine ” fragrances have been able to capture the true essence of Creed Green Irish Tweed.
Among these, I love Armaf Club de Nuit and Aspen for Men the most. But if you want a more popular and safe cologne, I’d suggest going for Davidoff Cool water.
