When I first sprayed this beauty, I picked a sweet, crispy pear note. It smelled quite natural and powerful to my nose.
After a while, in replacement of coconut, almond gives the core a nutty, gourmand texture. It also has a sweet, divine floral vibe. But instead of rose, here, you’re gonna get frangipani and jasmine’s sweet, indolic nuances.
In the end, the whole composition settles down to soft, powdery, slightly musky sandalwood essence.
Overall, I consider Valentino Donna Acqua as a more floral and less fruity version of Ariana Grande’s Thank U, Next. But this perfume is quite pricey. So, go for this one when you need a dupe with super premium quality.
