Floral is one of the most common elements added to perfumes, especially women’s perfumes.
When Yves Saint Laurent launched a heavy floral scent called Libre, it blew up its sales as there are many floral lovers in the perfume community.
I love Libre myself, as the florals are subtle and beautiful. In searching for something similar to Libre, I have researched a ton of perfumes and found a few.
Keep reading to discover these amazing dupes.
Which Perfumes Smell Like YSL Libre?
YSL released Libre in 2019, and the creative heads Anne Flipo and Carlos Benaim. Libre does not have the gourmand side of the majority of perfumes. It initially smelled of vanilla and delicate lavender. The top notes contain mandarin orange.
The top notes of Libre are Lavender, Mandarin Orange, Black Currant and Petitgrain.
Jasmine is a unisex perfume. Ambergris is a beast mode perfume. It’s a beast mode perfume. The lifespan and projection make it expensive.
It incorporates musk and sandalwood as its base notes to lengthen its longevity. This fragrance is classy. It has assertiveness, freshness, and texture.
One of the top features of this fragrance is that you can wear this every season. How can it get any better, right?
The scent is so easygoing that you can make it your everyday wear. You name it: grocery shopping, date, party, or work event; it works for every activity. Spray it 2 to 3 times for the longevity of 24 hours.
So, here are the alternative perfumes that smell like YSL Libre:
Carolina Herrera Good Girl
Top notes are Almond, Coffee, Bergamot and Lemon;
Middle notes are Tuberose, Jasmine Sambac, Orange Blossom, Orris and Bulgarian Rose;
Base notes are Tonka Bean, Cacao, Vanilla, Praline, Sandalwood, Musk, Amber, Cashmere Wood, Cinnamon, Patchouli and Cedar.
Carolina Herrera’s top-selling fragrance, “Good Girl.” The bottle is presented in a very unusual way because nothing resembles a bottle but a high heel. It doesn’t smell weird, though.
Carolina Herrera is a blood relative to YSL Libre and has a similar structure with less of a soothing soapy character.
Good Girl is a seductive evening fragrance. Tonka bean and cocoa are the keynotes you detect in this fragrance. From the moment the aroma first travels through your nose, you feel its warmth.
After a time, almond and vanilla join the celebration. The white blossoms start to emerge in the dry down.
The jasmine and tuberose remain throughout the scent. The perfume is incredibly seductive because of tonka, vanilla, and almond. The florals provide you with a mysterious and feminine touch.
The main downside is longevity and sillage, which YSL Libre barely outperforms; Good Girl is a fantastic choice for anyone seeking a lighter lavender scent without the soapiness of solid florals.
This sensual scent is made for you to enjoy in winter and fall. It is perfect for date nights, going out to a party etc.

Guerlain Mon Guerlain
Top notes are Almond, Coffee, Bergamot and Lemon;
Middle notes are Tuberose, Jasmine Sambac, Orange Blossom, Orris and Bulgarian Rose;
Base notes are Tonka Bean, Cacao, Vanilla, Praline, Sandalwood, Musk, Amber, Cashmere Wood, Cinnamon, Patchouli and Cedar.
Thierry Wasser and Delphine Jelk are the minds behind the 2017 release of Mon Guerlain.
The blend of iris and lavender makes it a floral scent for mature women. You will be completely blown away by this if you enjoy two of these floral ingredients.
People compare it to YSL Libre in the lavender and vanilla department, but Mon Guerlain has a more ripe aroma than Libre.
This fragrance is unique and pleasant, thanks to the lavender. Due to the misconception that lavender belongs in male perfumes, most female perfumes do not contain it. But Mon Guerlain has proven that this myth is completely wrong.
Vallina also plays a big part in the aroma of the sent. The combination of lavender and vanilla makes women obsessed with this fragrance.
Sandalwood, which also serves as the perfume’s strength, adds a spooky touch to the base.
The fragrance was developed for contemporary women and was motivated by Angelina Jolie. She also did the campaign for this scent.
There isn’t much lasting power for this scent like Libre. It has a strong smell for the first hour, but it develops a “near-your-skin” perfume after that.

Croisette d’Azur Mango
Do not get put off by the fragrance’s name; Mango is a white floral-based scent almost identical to Libre.
Jasmine is the common factor here in both fragrances. However, the projection of Mango is not as intense as Libre. According to the price we are paying for Mango, it is more than a good deal.
The perfume starts with the fresh aroma of mandarin orange and orange blossom. Jasmine comes to play with the fresh fragrance in the background. Grapefruit adds a sweet tone to the scent.
It ends its journey with strong musk, just like Libre. Honestly, if you close your eyes while smelling both of the perfumes, you will not be able to put them apart. And it costs way lesser than Libre itself.

Why should you wear it?
- 100% similar to Libre.

Alt. Liberty
Top notes: Lavender, Mandarin Orange and Black Currant.
Middle notes: Orange Blossom, Jasmine and Lavender.
Base notes: Musk, Vanilla, Ceder and Ambergris.
Alt. Liberty is also a dupe of Libre, the cheapest one on the list and the newest one released compared to the other dupe perfumes. The lavender is common between Libre and Liberty.
In Spanish, Libre means free, so it creatively copied the name’s meaning and called it ‘Liberty.’
With the initial spray, you will receive a solid orange bloom and lavender aroma. It is pretty loud, just like Libre. And also, they have very similar beginnings.
The perfume gets settled down in the dry down. It’s more subtle when it settles on your skin. You won’t be able to put them apart with the aroma. However, the money you are paying for Liberty makes the perfume worth it.
When to wear it?
Why should you have it?
- Cheap.
- Smells 90% similar to Libre.
- Beast mode scent.
Zara Golden Decade
Top note is Mandarin Orange;
Middle notes are Jasmine, Orange Blossom and Lavender;
Base note is Vanilla.
I won’t lie; I had previously doubted the quality of Zara’s dupe line, but Golden Decade convinced me otherwise. Golden Decade costs a quarter of what YSL Libre does and shockingly matches the original Libre in terms of staying power and sillage.
Be prepared if you thought YSL Libre was driven by lavender. Without a doubt, Golden Decade is not trying to cut savings with the white blossoms. This lavender-heavy scent lasts all day because the florals are so prominent and make it difficult for my nose to detect the citrus opening.
The dry-down will reveal the vanilla, giving the structure a sweeter side.
Overall, Golden Decade seems a little less intricate than YSL Libre.
But I’d wager that only trained eyes could distinguish between Libre and Zara’s equivalent. There is no justification not to at least try it out with a price tag that cheap.
When to wear it?
Why should you have it?
- Cheap.
- Very similar to Libre.
- Excellent longevity and projection.
Conclusion
Libre is a new addition to the perfume world itself, and it has already created its stand to stay for long in the business. The selective perfumes are mentioned as great cheap alternatives to YSL Libre.
