But the three-digit price tag might make it out of reach for you.
Don’t worry! You have another option. That is to find the Best colognes that smell like Creed Silver Mountain Water.
After testing the original fragrance and a handful of clones on myself, I have found the top 5 colognes that smell like Creed SMW.
Read on to find the Silver Mountain Water alternatives that you are looking for.
What Are The Best Smelling Creed Silver Mountain Water Alternatives
Creed launched this masterpiece in 1995. Made by legendary perfumer Olivier Creed, it has gained a reputation as one of the top Summer colognes in the world.
Why, you’re wondering?
Well, the philosophy behind the creation of Creed Silver Mountain Water was to capture the icy coolness of the snow-capped Alps mountain range and the streams of water flowing through them.
And it does the job perfectly! The opening of Silver Mountain Water is divine. A bright and fresh scent of bergamot, paired with the zesty mandarin and blackcurrant, makes the opening heavenly on hot days. This is followed by a smooth and soothing scent of green tea, which Creed SMW is so famous for.
In dry-down, the blackcurrant adds a beautiful tangy sweetness to the mix, but the overall scent stays fresh. Green tea is the main attraction of this cologne. It adds a soothing, refreshing, and almost cooling vibe to the scent.
Basically, the green tea represents the cold streams of mountain water and mixes with the sparkling citrus fruits to create an alluring masculine aroma.
I’m sure you’d want to wear this amazing men’s cologne on a summer vacation. But why spend an arm a leg when you can get a similar smelling cologne at a fraction of Creed’s price?
Well, Let’s dive into the reviews then and find out if these colognes have truly captured the essence of Creed’s Summer gem of a fragrance.
So, here are the best colognes that smell similar to Creed Silver Mountain Water:
Armaf Club De Nuit Sillage – Closest Resemblance
Middle notes: Jasmine, Iris, Rose
Base notes: Sandalwood, Musk, Ambroxan, Cedar.
Armaf has knocked it out of the park in replicating the most iconic Creed Fragrances.
With Armaf Sillage, they have made another high-quality dupe that is arguably, the best alternative of creed smw you can find in the market under 50 bucks.
Just like Creed’s cologne, CDN Sillage starts with a super bright and zesty bergamot scent.
To amp up the refreshing vibe, Armaf has added Lemon and Lime with it. I also got hints of ginger here which adds a spicy touch.
It doesn’t stop there! Violet and blackcurrant adds a cold soothing vibe that enhances the freshnes and makes the opening identical to creed smw.
Soon after, the floral notes like jasmine and rose take over. I love the dry down because the powdery vibe from the iris reminds me of smw.
Finally, a strong projection of Ambroxan and musk with woody undertones makes this cologne incredibly manly.
You probably wouldn’t believe it if I say that Armaf Sillage performs on par and sometimes better than Creed Aventus. But check out the reviews on fragrantica and you’ll see people backing it up. The longevity and projection is just unparalleled to any other colognes similar to Creed SMW.

Look, after extensively using Sillage, I can safely say that it’s a beast mode fragrance. This cologne easily lasts all day on me. It almost outperforms creed smw. I got the rich musky scent on my clothes the day after wearing it.
Trust me, as for colnes go, this is a solid 10/10. It’s one of those instances where an inspired creation can give the original a run for its money.
And with the price that armaf is offering, buying a bottle of CDN Sillage is definitely a better investment than Creed Silver Mountain Water.
WHEN TO WEAR:
The composition of tart sweetness from citrus fruit notes paired with the soothing cool feeling from flower and green notes make this cologne a gem on hot days. CDN Sillage is Very versatile and pleasant fragrance. You can wear it day or night, in both casual and formal occasions
WHY YOU SHOULD BUY :
- Almost 100% similar to Creed Silver Mountain Water.
- Beast Mode fragrance.
- Compliments getter.
- Versatile cologne for all occasions.
- Lucrative shiny bottle.
Armaf Derby Club House Blanche – Bang for Buck
Middle notes: Green Tea and Black Currant
Base notes: Musk, Galbanum, and Sandalwood.
Before Armaf Sillage took the crown, there was Armaf derby clubhouse. It’s 85-90% similar to Creed Silver Mountain Water. I love the classy white bottle. It reminds me of Creed’s classic and iconic design.
The opening is bright and citrusy. In fact, Armaf has used the same notes as Creed SMW- Bergamot and Orange.
For me, Armaf will get extra points for adding aquatic notes here. Together with the sparkling citrus fruit notes, they create a fresh, cool, and icy-smelling cologne. Right from the start, Clubhouse Blanche is identical to Creed SMW.
After a while, you’ll start to get the soothing notes of green tea that the Silver Mountain Water is famous for. Armaf has used the same type of notes here again, which is very clever. Because of this, the dry-down is the same as Creed SMW.
In the end, it’s the same thing as before. Musk, Sandalwood, and Galbanum create a rich masculine aroma that smells almost exactly like Creed Silver Mountain Water.
Trust me, after wearing this; people won’t be able to tell you’re wearing a different cologne and not Creed SMW. The price is so cheap compared to Creed’s fragrance that it’s astonishing to me.
Finally, the longevity was excellent. It lasted around 7-8 hours on me with moderate projection.

- Perfectly mimics Creed Silver Mountain Water.
- Excellent performance.
- Compliment is a guarantee.
- Versatile cologne for all occasions.
- Top value deal for the price.
- Luxurious bottle design.
Rasasi Al Wisam Day – Premium Option
Middle notes: Rose, Sandalwood, Clary Sage, and Cedar
Base notes: Musk, Amber, Agarwood (Oud), and Oakmoss.
In terms of price, this is the most expensive fragrance that smells similar to of Creed Silver Mountain Water. Still, it costs a fraction of the original and smells mostly the same, but also a bit different.
Let me explain!
Rasasi Al Wisam starts almost like Creed Silver Mountain Water, with bergamot, lavender, and geranium. It’s super fresh with a fabulous floral undertone.
This soft floral touch is the main difference between this cologne and Creed SMW. The dry down is rose-heavy. It’s also woody and slightly herbal.
The base is sweeter and warmer thanks to amber, oakmoss, and oud. If you don’t like the smell of tea or blackcurrant, you might prefer this direction.
As I said, It doesn’t exactly mimic the Creed Silver Mountain Water but hits the same ballpark. I’d call Rasasi Al Wisam an inspired/alternative fragrance than a replica.
But you’d be hard-pressed to know the difference. Also, the scent is incredibly masculine and mass appealing, no doubt about that.

Finally, Longevity and projection had to be outstanding to justify the price.
And I’m happy to report that it delivers. As this is an EDP concentration, the projection was solid and long-lasting. I got occasional whiffs of the scent even after 12 hours since applying.
WHEN TO WEAR:
Even though it’s pricier than other colognes I’ve discussed here, the value and quality of the juice are unparalleled.
Grab this one if you’re not sure about getting other cheap clones of SMW. Even then, it won’t break your bank, I’m sure.
WHY YOU SHOULD BUY :
- Elegant fragrance.
- A unique twist on Creed’s Original cologne.
- Inoffensive and versatile scent.
Al-Rehab Silver EDP – Cheap, But Not the Best
Out of all Creed Silver Mountain Water clones, this fragrance was the cheapest that I could find in the store. And it’s a damn good cologne; I have to say.
Al rehab silver EDP starts with fresh citrus notes, just like Creed SMW. But, I noticed that the fruity smell isn’t natural like Creed. Instead, it felt a bit synthetic and metallic. It’s a con you have to accept with the insanely low price.
Fortunately, the synthetic vibe isn’t really offensive.
Here’s a complete guide on Bleu de Chanel Alternatives
Also, it goes away quickly to give space to the earthy and soothing green notes. The notes aren’t specified; however, I got the same vibe of green tea and blackcurrant found in Silver Mountain Water. The base has some floral and woody notes. I couldn’t find musk in here.
In the end, I’d say the opening and drydown of Al rehab silver is similar to Creed SMW.
After seeing the relatively low price tag, I was very skeptical about longevity. But I was surprised that it performs ok. After 4 hours with a soft projection, it becomes a skin scent.
Get this if you want to feel how Creed Silver Mountain Water smells under 20 bucks.
WHEN TO WEAR:
However, I’d recommend other colognes from this blog for formal occasions with a more natural smelling scent and strong longevity.
A Tip: If you’re not satisfied with the longevity, you can lair the EDP with Al rehab silver perfume oil to have a stronger scent and better performance.
WHY YOU SHOULD BUY :
- Cheapest clone in the market.
- Fresh and opening.
- It can be layered with perfume oil.
Ajmal Silver Shade – Undiscovered one
Middle notes: Birch, jasmine, patchouli, and rose.
Base notes: Musk, oakmoss, ambergris, and vanilla.
This cologne was probably the best blind buy I’ve made for this blog. Ajmal’s Silver shade is a very high-quality clone of Creed Silver Mountain Water. If you love the original Cologne, I am confident that you’ll want to add this to your collection.
The opening is identical, albeit a bit too lemony. But be sure that armature noses won’t be able to identify this as anything other than Creed SMW.
Apart from usual fresh, zesty fruit notes like Lemon, Lime, and Bergamot, the opening also adds violet and plum. These notes add an extra depth that you won’t find in other clones of Silver Mountain Water.
Once dried down, the floral notes, along with the iris take over. They mix with blackcurrant and creamy tonka bean to create a clean, cool mountain air feel similar to Creed’s cologne.
Apart from the sharp lemony opening, this fragrance is identical to Creed’s cologne. And for the price that you’re paying, it’d be wise to grab this as a decent alternative to Silver Mountain Water.
Finally, Longevity and projection were pretty long-lasting. It lasted around 5 hours on my skin, but it gets doubled if you spray on clothes.
WHEN TO WEAR:
WHY YOU SHOULD BUY:
- Inexpensive and underrated fragrance.
- Long-lasting and complement getter
- Strong fruity opening.
Final Thoughts
Finding these fragrances that smell like Creed SMW at a significantly lesser price was not an easy task. If I made any mistakes, please feel free to comment about them.
In the end, I’d say that if you want to smell Creed Aventus without spending close to 500$, your only option would be to get a cologne that I’ve reviewed here.
I love Armaf Club House Derby the most among these. I’m falling in love with that House for their excellent colognes on a budget.
Of course, there are other Creed SMW dupes and alternatives in the market. But only the colognes reviews here seemed worthy of your money to me.
