If you know about Chanel, I guess you already know about Bleu de Chanel too. Bleu de Chanel was the most iconic fragrance created by Chanel.
Bleu de Chanel was released in 2010. It’s famous for its versatile performance and clean behavior.
Well, the top notes of BDC are grapefruit, lemon, mint, and pink pepper. In the middle, they chose ginger, nutmeg, jasmine, and iso e super.
They prepared a fantastic combination of wood, musk, patchouli, incense, and cedar in the base, which is the main attraction of this fragrance.
In a word, BDC is a king. It’s a fantastic-smelling versatile cologne that can be used all year long.
But the price tag of Bleu de Chanel is a bit high. So, finding a clone of Bleu de Chanel can be the only option.

Middle notes: Ginger, Apple, jasmine.

Apparently, Missoni is inspired by Bleu de Chanel. This scent almost has the same DNA profile with sparkling flavor.
Well, if you like Bleu de Chanel, this can be an easy blind buy. In fact, if you’ve never smelt Bleu de Chanel, this is an easy blind buy.
First off, the opening of Bleu de Chanel and Missoni is almost identical. It’s hard to differentiate one from another. But, the opening of Missoni doesn’t stay long like BDC.
After the opening, you’ll feel the lavender scent in the Missoni, which is missing in BDC.
Specifically, Missoni is like BDC with added lavender notes.
In case of performance, the crown goes to BDC. But, don’t think that Missoni’s longevity is terrible. It easily lasts like 7-8hrs on my skin with moderate projection.

Before diving into core characteristics, I’d like to say a few words about it’s presentation. The bottle design of Tag-Him is fabulous. The non-separable cap made this bottle more efficient.
As you can see, the notes of BDC and Tag-Him are almost similar. In general, it’s tough to identify which cologne it is.
First off, you’ll find a minty touch in the opening of BDC, but in the case of Tag-Him, they didn’t use mint. Instead, Armaf has used bergamot and made the lime touch stronger. Specifically, I missed the slightly smoky flavor in Tag-Him, which I liked a lot in BDC.
Look, Tag-Him used a well-known DNA in this cologne. Let’s say you’re not buying this as a Channel clone, even then this fragrance’s separate DNA is enough to win your heart.
The performance of this fragrance is outstanding. I got around 6hrs of longevity with moderate projection.
When to wear:
Tag-Him is a daytime fragrance. The lime in this can properly bloom in the warm sunlight. You can wear Armaf Tag-Him wherever you can. You can set this fragrance as a hangout cologne or an office scent too.

Perry Ellis EDT
Middle notes: Lavender, Mint, Fir, Cedar.

Although Perry Ellis EDT is not a direct clone of BDC, it’s a smell-alike scent.
Look, there’s no similarity between the notes of these two colognes. But the combination of Perry Ellis’ notes almost behaves like BDC.
In the opening, the peppery vibe of BDC is replaced with cardamom and coriander.
After some time, when the mint arises, you’ll find your desired flavor of BDC. Fir makes this cologne more earthy, and lavender gives a floral vibe.
In the end, I missed the smoky touch of BDC, but Perry Ellis EDT’s amber makes enough depth to the base.
In general, It’s almost close to BDC, but there are some differences as well. In plain sight, it’ll feel like you’re wearing BDC, and people will compliment you a lot.
Moreover, the performance of Perry Ellis EDT is impressive. I got around 8 hours of longevity with moderate to intimate projection.

Middle notes: Sage, Mint, Geranium, Nutmeg.

Well, AHB is the cheapest clone of BDC. If you want to get a vibe of BDC within one-tenth of it’s price, I’ll suggest getting United Dreams Men Aim High Benetton, ASAP.
Firstly, the opening of AHB is almost the same as BDC. Although the spicy vibe of BDC in the opening is missing here, I can assure you; you’ll not find much difference between these two scents.
Luckily, the mint in the middle, backups the opening. For this, it almost feels like BDC.
Surprisingly, the sweetness of AHD is higher than BDC. That’s because of geranium.
Look, AHD is not an exact clone of BDC, but it almost smells like BDC. I think everyone will love to get a vibe of BDC in this price range.
Significantly, the performance of AHD is incredible. I got around 6-8hrs of longevity with moderate projection.

Honestly, this fragrance is as impressive as it’s name xD. Well, Vodka night has a different DNA base, but in general, it smells like BDC.
Well, the opening is almost similar to BDC. But it’s more citrusy than the original cologne. After some time, floral notes take over the nose along with cardamom and nutmeg.
But through all the way, I missed that minty vibe. However, the base is solid, although not as heavy as BDC. This fragrance is 75% similar to BDC. So if you’re expecting an exact replica, go with something other than this one.
Anyway, the performance of Vodka Night is fantastic. I got around 8-10hrs of longevity with moderate projection.
When to wear:
It’s a day-night fragrance and a good choice for late-night clubbing, parties, etc.
Why you should buy:
- Fantastic DNA.
- 75% similar to BDC.

Final thoughts
Bleu de Chanel is a legendary fragrance. Finding an alternative to BDC with a significantly lesser price was not an easy task.
