La Nuit de l’Homme means “The night of the man.” The name represents the scent so perfectly. To be honest, I’ve smelled very few colognes as incredible as this.
La Nuit de l’Homme is a woody spicy cologne for men. It was released in 2009. The bottle design and color both are amazing. The rotatable cap is also marvelous.
La Nuit de l’Homme has a very dark and powerful scent. The ingredients are so powerful and rich. I’m going to explain this sensual cologne part by part.
First of all, the opening of this cologne is simple and outstanding. The only note in the opening is cardamom. The cardamom blast gives a spicy kick, and it smells really amazing.
Significantly, the heart is fantastic. It’s floral, sweet, and refreshing. Lavender gives a huge touch of flowers. Cedar gives a woody vibe and balances the sweetness.
As expected, the base is really amazing. It’s sweet and woody. Vetiver and caraway really smell awesome in the base.
On top of the gorgeous scent, I got around 8-10hrs+ longevity with moderate projection, So this had to be my top choice.

When to wear La Nuit de l’Homme:
It’s a nighttime cologne. A compliment magnet and one of the best date colognes.

YSL Y EDP

If I write a book about this cologne, that’d be less for it. It’s a fantastic blue scent for men.
YSL Y EDP is an Aromatic Fougere cologne for men. It was released in 2018.
Before starting the analysis, let me tell a story. At that time I didn’t have a bottle of Y EDP. After meeting with a colleague, I got a decant from him and sprayed it on myself.
Then, When I went to a hangout with friends wearing this, I was overwhelmed with compliments. That night I rushed to the store to buy a bottle of this cologne.
This aromatic Fougere cologne starts with a burst of bergamot and apple. Ginger mixed with this scent makes this a citrusy-fruity spicy opening.
Well, Cedar, juniper berries, and geranium make this cologne really sweet and fantastic. It creates a sweet, fruity aroma near you.
Notably, the base itself is a huge compliments getter. Amberwood creates a woody vibe. Tonka bean, cedar, olibanum, and vetiver make this cologne balanced, sweet and fresh.
Moreover, the performance of this cologne is top-notch. I got around 14-16hrs+ longevity with heavy projection from this beast mode cologne.

Do you know the character ‘Kratos” from God of War? Every Time I sniff this cologne, it reminds me of Kratos. Cause It’s a total beast like Kratos.
Anyway, Kouros by YSL is an Aromatic Fougere cologne for men. It was released in 1981. The nose behind this masterpiece is Pierre Bourdon.
Not just the opening, the total cologne is harsh. It opens with a strong, fresh scent of Bergamot. Other notes make the opening down to earth but really spicy.
Well, the middle is sweet and harsh. It contains a lot of notes, and the mixture of these notes is really amazing. It’s not that sweet; it’s balanced.
As expected, the base is animalic and harsh. Leather and Civet make the base so animalic. Musk, vanilla, amber, and tonka bean try to balance it out.
If you know Kouros already, then I think I don’t need to say anything about its performance. Comment below another designer cologne that performs like this.
The longevity of this cologne is better than you expect. It easily stays on clothes for more than 24 hours.
And the projection? A real beast.
When to wear YSL Kouros:
Kouros is a nighttime cologne. But wear it at your own risk. This cologne is really harsh.

Anyway, the opening of this scent is earthy and natural. Bergamot and violet leaf gives a natural cologne, and coriander adds some spices to this.
Well, the heart is floral and spicy. Rose and lily make this scent floral and black pepper adds some spices to this.
However, the base of this cologne is fantastic. Vanilla and ambergris make this scent so elegant and classy. This scent ends with earthy patchouli.
I got around 12hrs+ longevity with heavy to moderate projection by this cologne.

Well, the total cologne is very simple but gorgeous. It opens with freshness and ends with oud. It’ll give you 10/10 satisfaction.
The opening of this cologne is very simple and outstanding. It smells like freshly squeezed mandarin oranges.
After some time, patchouli appears in the heart of this cologne. This earthy patchouli gives a natural vibe to the scent.
Anyway, the base is fantastic. The mixture of oud, myrrh, and labdanum is incredible.
In my skin, this cologne lasts more than 10 hrs with heavy to moderate projection.

This will be the best barbershop cologne you’ve ever sniffed. The Hype is real xD.
The opening of this cologne is bitter and fresh. Star anise mixed with rosemary and bergamot creates a great aroma.
The heart is sweet, floral, and spicy. Lavender, geranium balances the sweetness, and cloves add a spicy touch.
The base is just remarkable. It’s a mixture of wood, oakmoss, and vetiver. This cologne ends with earthy patchouli.

The base is woody and sweet. Tonka bean, cedar, vetiver gives a woody vibe and provides the best amount of sweetness.
Performance was good enough. I got around 6-8hrs of longevity with moderate projection.
